Market Opportunity
A large, fragmented US practice market
US healthcare is delivered by hundreds of thousands of independent practices, most of them small. This page uses published US sources only. Every figure carries its source, date and scope, and our own market model is labelled as a planning estimate.
The evidence
What published US data says
Digital records are standard, patients use online access when it is offered, physicians are adopting AI for admin work, and telemedicine is a normal part of practice. The gap MedClinicX addresses is the patient-facing and admin layer around those systems.
95% of US office-based physicians use an electronic health record, and 91% use a certified EHR.
Digital records are already the norm in US practices. The opening for MedClinicX sits in the patient-facing layer on top of those systems, not in replacing them.

77% of individuals were offered online access to their medical records, and 65% accessed them at least once in the past year.
Patients already use online access when a practice offers it. Portals and digital intake meet behaviour that exists today.

66% of physicians used health AI in 2024, up from 38% in 2023. 57% named reducing administrative burden as the biggest opportunity for AI.
Adoption is moving quickly, and the use case physicians name first is administrative work, which is where our AI receptionist and automation work is focused.

42.2% of physicians work in private practice, and 47.4% work in practices of 10 or fewer physicians.
A large share of US care is delivered by small, independent practices. These practices are our first target segment because they feel admin pressure most and buy tools fastest.

80.0% of office-based physicians used telemedicine in 2024, and 86.2% in primary care.
Remote visits are a normal part of US practice. Scheduling, intake and follow-up around those visits remain fragmented, which is the gap our telemedicine work addresses.

The US has 6,093 hospitals, of which 5,112 are community hospitals.
Hospitals are a later expansion segment for MedClinicX. Our first market is independent practices, where sales cycles are shorter and needs are closer to our current products.

There are 204,617 offices of physicians and 135,665 dental practice establishments in the US. The ADA counts 202,485 professionally active dentists in 2024.
These establishment counts set the size of the practice universe our planning model below is built from.

Our model
TAM, SAM and SOM, built from practice counts
We size the market from the number of US practice establishments and one planning price assumption of $199 per practice per month. We deliberately do not use worldwide healthcare spending, which would say nothing about the market our products can actually serve.
TAM, total addressable market
About $813 million per year
340,282 US practice establishments (204,617 offices of physicians plus 135,665 dental practice establishments, US Census Bureau, County Business Patterns 2023) at an assumed $199 per practice per month, which is $2,388 per year. 340,282 x $2,388 is about $813 million a year, if every establishment subscribed, which no company achieves. TAM here is a sizing exercise, not an expectation.
SAM, serviceable addressable market
About $385 million per year
Small practices are the segment our first products fit. Using the AMA figure that 47.4% of physicians work in practices of 10 or fewer physicians as a labelled proxy for the small-practice share gives about 161,300 establishments. At the same $2,388 per year, that is about $385 million a year.
SOM, serviceable obtainable market
About $1.19 million ARR, as a company target
Our objective is 500 paying practices within the first three years of commercial launch. 500 x $2,388 is about $1.19 million in annual recurring revenue. This is a company target we intend to work toward, not a forecast and not a promise.

The realistic starting point
The first market is independent primary care and dental practices in the United States. The reasons are practical. The decision maker is reachable, the admin problems our products address are felt daily, and a small practice can start with one module and judge it on results within weeks. Specialty clinics and medical groups follow, and hospitals are a later segment that needs deeper integrations and longer sales cycles.
Digital health adoption supports the timing. With 91% of office-based physicians on a certified EHR (ASTP/ONC, 2024 data), the record system is settled in most practices. What remains unsettled is everything around it: how patients book, check in, message and follow up. That layer is where MedClinicX competes.
