Jacobs Medical Center at UC San Diego Health is a 364-bed advanced medical center in La Jolla, California. Opened in 2016, the 10-story hospital is home to inpatient care, surgical facilities, outpatient clinics, a blood bank and a pharmacy, and includes the Thornton Pavilion. Its specialty pavilions provide advanced surgery, cancer care, and care for women and infants, including a midwifery-staffed Birth Center and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. A dedicated floor serves blood and marrow transplantation patients.
