UCI Health — Orange, the medical center of the University of California, Irvine, provides neonatal intensive care through its Level III NICU, a 30-bed unit meeting the state of California's most rigorous standards. The unit cares for critically ill premature and full-term infants, including the smallest premature babies and multiples, treating conditions such as brain injury, respiratory failure and gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is Orange County's only combined tertiary-level perinatal and neonatal program.
