Palomar UC San Diego Health Poway, formerly Pomerado Hospital, is a 124-bed acute-care facility in Poway, California, operated by Palomar Health, the largest public healthcare district in California. Pomerado Hospital opened in June 1977 as the district's second hospital. The Poway campus holds the Joint Commission's advanced Primary Stroke Center certification, first awarded in 2009, and provides stroke care through a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, and interventional radiologists.
