Norton Sound Health Corporation (NSHC) operates the Unalakleet Subregional Clinic, one of 15 village-based clinics serving the Bering Strait region of northwest Alaska. Staffed by community health aides working with a physician assistant or nurse practitioner, the clinic provides primary care for the village, and its team also includes dental health aide therapists. Patients needing hospital care are referred to NSHC's hospital in Nome or to Anchorage.
