Los Angeles General Medical Center (LA General) is a Los Angeles County Department of Health Services teaching hospital in Los Angeles, California, affiliated with the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Formerly LAC+USC Medical Center, it is a world-class teaching hospital and Level-One trauma center serving 10 million residents, and a training site for the U.S. Navy and more than 900 physicians completing graduate medical education in nearly every medical specialty and subspecialty. A 600-bed replacement hospital opened in 2008; the historic general hospital building on State Street now houses a Wellness Center offering health resources to community residents.
