Eastern Plumas Health Care is a non-profit, critical access hospital district in Portola, California, that has delivered comprehensive medical services to Plumas County for over 50 years. It is the only hospital and clinic within a 30-mile radius and offers the only emergency services and acute care hospital facilities in Eastern Plumas and Sierra Counties, serving over 10,000 residents. Its services include a 9-bed critical access hospital, a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency room, an ambulance service, radiology and 24/7 laboratory services, two skilled nursing facilities in Portola and Loyalton, medical clinics in Portola, Graeagle and Loyalton, a behavioral health clinic and a dental clinic in Portola, an outpatient rehabilitation center, and specialty services including orthopedics, dermatology, podiatry, OB/GYN and endoscopy.
