Bullock County Hospital, now Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital, has served Union Springs and Bullock County, Alabama, since 1951. Operated by the Bullock County Health Care Authority, it converted in 2024 to Alabama's first Rural Emergency Hospital, focusing on emergency and outpatient care for its rural community. Services include a 24-hour emergency department, on-site laboratory, radiology with X-ray, CT and ultrasound, physical therapy, a family care clinic and a mobile clinic that brings primary care and chronic disease management to rural residents.
