Adventist Health Bakersfield is a hospital in Bakersfield, California, formerly named San Joaquin Community Hospital. The official Adventist Health history page states the hospital admitted its first patient in 1910, was renamed San Joaquin Community Hospital, and became a member of Adventist Health in 1987. The site describes its heart care, its nationally certified stroke centre opened in 2008, and the AIS Cancer Center providing medical and radiation treatment. It also describes an expanded intensive care unit, emergency department, maternity care centre and neonatal intensive care unit in its patient tower.
