Job Overview

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to design and build interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualization systems for healthcare SaaS and clinical platforms.

In this role, you will work with large-scale healthcare datasets from EHR systems, patient portals, and clinical applications to deliver meaningful insights for decision-making.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, product teams, and healthcare stakeholders to create scalable BI solutions used across the United States.

Responsibilities

Healthcare Data Visualization

  • Build interactive Power BI dashboards for clinic data.
  • Design reports for clinical, operational, and business KPIs.
  • Transform raw healthcare data into meaningful visual charts.
  • Create operational dashboard matrices for client clinics.

Data Modeling & Reporting

  • Develop star-schema data models for clinic datasets.
  • Write SQL queries to build optimized reporting views.
  • Tune query performance and ensure dashboard refresh stability.
  • Map out ETL transformations from EHR endpoints.

Healthcare Analytics Systems

  • Support analytical reports for patient outreach channels.
  • Monitor telehealth call logs & session health metrics.
  • Analyze SaaS portal usage and clinician adoption metrics.
  • Build scheduled automated email-alert workflows.

Collaboration & Integration

  • Partner with data engineers to ingest raw schema models.
  • Gather dashboard requirements from clinical leadership.
  • Integrate Power BI reports securely into client portals.
  • Enforce dynamic RLS security constraints on datasets.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, CS, IS, or related technical field.
  • Proven experience in Power BI dashboard design & development.
  • Strong SQL expertise (writing complex queries, CTEs, and joins).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, relationships, and ETL concepts.
  • Strong data visualization principles and UX layout concepts.

Preferred

  • Experience with US healthcare data schemas and clinical datasets.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements and RLS security.
  • Experience connecting databases with EHR/EMR platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud database services (Azure SQL, AWS Athena, BigQuery).
  • Basic Python scripting experience for initial data formatting steps.
