Job Overview
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure supporting healthcare SaaS applications and digital health platforms.
In this role, you will work with Microsoft Azure services, cloud automation, security practices, and infrastructure management to ensure reliable and scalable healthcare technology solutions. You will collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to build cloud environments that support modern healthcare workflows.
Responsibilities
Azure Cloud Infrastructure
- Design and manage Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Deploy and maintain cloud resources and storage services.
- Configure VM computing, Virtual Networks, and firewall groups.
- Monitor cloud metrics and optimize performance resources.
Healthcare SaaS Cloud Operations
- Support cloud infrastructure for healthcare applications.
- Maintain environments for patient portals and web platforms.
- Assist with production deployments and schema changes.
- Ensure systems meet security standards and load boundaries.
Security & Compliance
- Implement secure cloud computing guidelines.
- Manage identity and access controls using Entra ID.
- Enforce envelope encryption keys and network ACLs.
- Maintain compliance audits (HIPAA/SOC2) in the cloud.
Automation & DevOps Collaboration
- Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure deployment utilizing Terraform (IaC).
- Maintain resource telemetry monitors and automated alerts.
- Support engineering teams with container orchestration.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Cloud Computing, or related field.
- Experience designing and deploying Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong understanding of virtualization, VNet routing, and cloud storage.
- Experience using Terraform to write Infrastructure as Code templates.
- Excellent analytical, networking, and security auditing skills.
Preferred
- Experience in US healthcare or healthcare SaaS environments.
- Familiarity with HIPAA rules and secure cloud storage practices.
- Experience configuring Azure DevOps pipelines and resource states.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container environments.
- Azure certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Security, etc.).
